We will provide you with the contact details of your guides and google maps location where you have to come for river rafting.
In case if you have any difficulty you can contact our office at Leh city.
- After you reach the river rafting site. You will be given a small briefing on various safety measures, equipment and rafting route. In case if you have any doubt you can clarify it during the briefing.
- After the briefing, you will be made to wear gear and life jackets. Our team will make sure that all safety measures are in place.
- Then the rafts will be lowered in the river and you will be made to sit in it.
- Once you are ready we will proceed on the river rafting route.
Is This For You?
There are no prerequisites or prior experience required for trying out river rafting with us.
You can enjoy river rafting without worrying about controlling the boat. Our experienced guide holding an International license and experience of more than 5,000 hours will do all the needful.
All you have to do is sit back, enjoy the thrill and have fun.
Any person with average fitness and without any major physical disability can join us for river rafting. We conduct river rafting on many different routes of varying difficulty so choose the route that you feel comfortable with.
The minimum safe weight is 25 kg and the maximum limit is 135 kg. This is determined by the certified weight ranges of the raft and equipment we use.
In terms of height, there are no official restrictions, you just need to be able to comfortably sit in the raft. We’ve never had a case in which a person who is within the safe weight limit hasn’t been comfortable in the raft.
There are hardly any age limits if you fit, within the weight requirements and are in good shape. The oldest tourist we’ve had so far was nearly 90 years old!
Kids as young as 10 can join us too on the easier 3km rafting route.
Yes you can enjoy river rafting even if you do not know swimming. You will be wearing life jacket at all times that will be checked by our guides before starting the ride. The life jacket will keep you afloat even if you somehow find yourself out of the boat in the water.
You will also be accompanied by our guides at all times. The guides are well qualified and have a lot of experience of handling any possible eventualities.
We will provide you with all the safety aids like life jacket, helmet etc.
Check the weather conditions and dress accordingly.
But for the raft wear shorts and a tee shirt. Bring slippers, extra set of clothes, towel and sunscreen.
You can deposit your valuables with us we will return it to you after you complete river rafting.
You can use your camera. But make sure that your camera is waterproof and is properly secured.
Yes we can make your video by gopro. You can take video from us after the ride in pendrive or CD.
In case the weather on the day of river rafting is not suitable, you will be allocated a slot for the next day. We recommend you keep one day as buffer for such eventualities.
Your safety is our number one priority. If our guides feel that the weather is not perfectly safe, we will not be able to conduct river rafting on that day.
We have been conducting river rafting for many years. It is our experience that most of the time our river rafting services remain sold out because of heavy demand. If you book river rafting session then it is our obligation to accommodate you in the schedule.
You can take the risk and try to book river rafting package on the spot. But beware that you are taking a chance and may miss out on experiencing river rafting in your trip.
River rafting is conducted throughout the year. The only exceptions are the days which are extremely cold during winters and when it rains heavily during monsoons.
We conduct river rafting from 9am till 5pm.
Yes, we have made arrangements for separate changing rooms for men and women.
Is It Dangerous?
Trained rafting instructors accompany you on every trip to ensure your safety on the river. You will also be wearing safety equipment like life jacket and helmet during river rafting.
However, as with all adventure sports, river rafting entails some element of risk and that is what makes it so exciting.
The chances of any real danger are small. We have not witnessed any major injury in span of last 8 years since we have been conducting river rafting.
